Our daytime program, titled "Smart Talk," is
a secular assembly for High School and Jr. High Schools. We begin
the assembly with music. The songs are non-Christian in nature and
are used to warm-up the students and get them involved.
Next, Joe Howard
Williamson leads off with his "Smart Talk" program,
speaking approximately 25 to 30 minutes, which deals with the dangers
of alcohol, drugs, promiscuous sex, the unreliability of condoms,
sexual abuse and suicide. To ease the school officials' minds,
no mention of God or Jesus is made during the daytime assembly.
Joe Howard challenges the students to take a hard look at their
lives and makes them think about the choices they make!
That evening, we have a gospel rally that consists
of a 30 minute contemporary Christian music concert, followed by
Joe Howard and Tracy Williamson sharing
their dynamic testimonies in which they also present the gospel.
Next is an invitation time for anyone desiring to make a decision
concerning Jesus Christ.
"I am writing this letter to tell you that if
anyone asks me, I will unconditionally recommend your group to their
school or organization. I heard such comments as 'I couldn't believe
what was happening in the gym where I play basketball' and 'I have
never seen or experienced anything like this in my life.' I have
seen videos of things like this happening in other schools, but I
am thrilled to have experienced it in my school."
--Stan Owen, Principal, Burkburnett High School, Burkburnett,
TX
"The assembly that you presented was exceptional.
Your wife and staff were very professional and courteous. I would
recommend this assembly to anyone who has direct contact with kids."
--Rick Coop, Superintendent, Motley County, I.S.D,
Matador, TX
"Our city and church have been deeply touched
by the ministry of Horsemen for Christ. The presentation was professional,
top-notch and motivationally powerful."
--Dr. Darryl Smith, Pastor, First Baptist Church,
Post, TX
