Horsemen For Christ is a Christian ministry whose mission is to fulfill Christ's great commission to the United States through the cutting horse industry, school assemblies (SmartTalk), prisons, juvenile detention centers and churches.
Founded in 1994 by Joe Howard Williamson, Horsemen For Christ is an exciting ministry that God is using to reach youth and horse industry people alike.
Through a variety of school assemblies, Joe Howard delivers his message on the dangers of alcohol and drugs and smart decision-making. He draws from his personal experiences as a recovering alcoholic and drug user to communicate to teens that there is always hope.
The other aspect of the ministry involves providing a time to worship at a variety of cutting horse events around the country. This gives committed Christians an opportunity to praise God, and reaches other individuals interested in learning more about the Lord.
We have also expanded our prison ministry, holding Christian worship services at prisons and juvenile detention centers around the country. We take an army of volunteer counselors, and try to divide the prisoners into small groups so one-on-one interaction is possible. Typically, we take a contemorary Christian band to aid in our worship service.
We always post a monthly message by our founder, Joe Howard Williamson, and are updating our prayer and praise requests every month. We also highlight any recent school and community rallies.
